Thousands of cattle killed by floods in Kazakhstan

More than 8,000 animals have died in floods that hit several regions in Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Agricultural Ministry said that 8,100 cattle, including 6,000 sheep and goats, 1,500 cows, and 514 horses drowned across the country. Oiylsky District was one of the most affected areas with 340 houses flooded and many cattle killed. The government promised to pay compensation to farmers.
