China's first major international trade fair of the year got underway on April 13 in the island province of Hainan. Over the next six days, the fourth China International Consumer Products Expo will bring together trade delegates from around China and the world in the city of Haikou. Over 4,000 brands from 71 countries and regions are participating. The Expo is a highlight of the commerce ministry's "Consumption Promotion Year" campaign. Ireland is the guest of honor, with a dedicated exhibition venue showcasing the country's scientific and technological innovation, investment, education and tourism.
