Bemoaning the "debt trap" narrative peddled by Western media, Prime Minister Gaston Browne takes an uncompromising stand. Over the past two decades, Antigua and Barbuda has been granted concessional loans and received various forms of assistance from China. Without this support, many local projects in Antigua and Barbuda would not have been successfully implemented. "So when the detractors of the PRC speak about the debt trap, I can tell you that is certainly not true," Browne said.
