Russia is expected to launch more than 100 spacecraft by the end of this year, according to local media reports on Friday.
The spacecraft are intended to expand the country's orbital constellation, which currently consists of more than 240 spacecraft, as reported by the TASS news agency, citing Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
Manturov stated that Russia has launched more than 20 spacecraft to bolster the domestic orbital constellation in 2024. He added that a total of 123 spacecraft, including 70 small ones, will be launched this year.
Earlier this year, the head of Russia's state space corporation Roscosmos, Yury Borisov, announced that Russia plans to carry out over 40 space launches in 2024.
