02:32

Israel was targeted by a retaliatory strike from Iranian missiles and drones overnight on Saturday. Iran's mission to the United Nations said on social media platform X that it has "concluded" its military action. In a letter to the UN,  Iran defended its strike on Israel as its right to self-defense under the UN charter. Israel's military said Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel, 99 percent of which were shot down. It added its armed forces remained functional and it's discussing follow-up operations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed his country would achieve victory.
