Wherever you look at the China International Consumer Products Expo, or the Hainan Expo, you'll spot adorable gibbon mascots, inspired by the local apes on the island.

The mascots have been given a series of brand-new designs this year.

Hainan is known for its coastal tourism resources. Surfing, beach volleyball, paragliding, soccer, sailing and cycling are popular among tourists. This year, the adorable mascot gibbons are depicted as athletes in these sports.

There are also special images for this year's "Country of Honor," Ireland.

A total of 18 products, including stuffed animals, pins, fridge magnets, T-shirts, and reusable bags, are available for purchase at the expo.

Follow CGTN's Guo Meiping to the gift store of the expo and learn about how these cute gibbon mascots help promote sports economy in Hainan.
