German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in China's Chongqing Municipality on April 14, marking the start of his three-day visit to China, which runs through Tuesday. It is Scholz's second visit to China since taking office. He is also the first Western leader to visit China this year.

CGTN Stringer recently hit the streets in Beijing and Berlin, the capital cities of both countries, to collect local people's impressions of each other and their expectations for future cooperation between the two sides. One resident in Berlin said China is doing "extremely well" in its digital transformation and expressed hope that China and the EU can collaborate more to enhance the efficiency of the global economy.
