Spring plowing is underway in Yuxian County of Yangquan City, north China's Shanxi Province. New agricultural machinery is being used to turn up the soil from a greater depth, from the earlier 20 centimeters to almost 35 centimeters. Meanwhile, drones are being used to spray fertilizer as well as pesticide on the wheat crop in Ruicheng County in Yuncheng City. Smart irrigation facilities are also at work, saving 50 percent of water as compared to traditional irrigation methods.
