On March 11, 2011, a magnitude-9 earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, causing a disaster at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. A significant amount of radioactive material was leaked. Despite ongoing efforts to rebuild over the past 13 years, problems such as discharging nuke-contaminated water into the sea still exist. CGTN visited the worst-hit area, measured nuclear radiation data and investigated the truth behind the enduring consequences of the accident.
