Sharing and celebrating the blessings of the Chinese dragon, a dragon dance street parade and carnival was held at Nanhu Park in Nanning, Guangxi. Twirling and twisting dragon costumes through fresh spring air, some employing fire displays, various troupes moved in formation down walkways, thrilling bystanders with their traditional-yet-slick moves. The event formed part of the 7th Nanning International Traditional Dragon Dance Invitational which invited teams from Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore as well as from Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan and elsewhere in China to compete in dragon dance competitions.
