China's economy got off to a good start in the first quarter. The National Bureau of Statistics says the economic output jumped by 5.3 percent compared with a year ago. Liu Zhiqin, senior research fellow at Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies under Renmin University of China, says the first quarter's economic performance has shown a stable and sustainable market environment.
