Farmers have been busy harvesting lotus roots along the Yellow River in the suburbs of Pinglu County, north China's Shanxi Province. Dressed in jumpsuits, the farmers grope for lotus roots in the muddy water and pull them out as they find one. Village officials say they've utilized the tidal flat by the Yellow River and have developed a lotus root industry.
