Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday appeared in a criminal court in Manhattan, New York City, in a hush money case, making him the first former U.S. president to go on criminal trial. The judge dismissed dozens of potential New York City jurors who said they could not fairly decide whether the 2024 Republican presidential candidate illegally covered up a hush money payment to a porn star.
