Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will visit the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona, Spain, to play Barca in the second-leg game of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday after losing 3-2 at home in the first leg on April 10.

Luis Enrique, manager of PSG, expressed at Monday's press conference his confidence in his side's ability to reverse the situation on the road and advance to the Champions League semifinals.

"PSG have never come back to win after losing a first leg, but [Tuesday] is the day," Enrique said. "After a defeat in such an important game, the days after the match were hard. It's tricky to recover mentally, but the good thing about football is you have another game against the same opponent."

Enrique managed Barca between 2014 and 2017, when the La Liga giants met PSG six times in the Champions League and won four of those games. The Round of 16 contest during the 2016-17 campaign witnessed one of the most epic comeback victories in football history. Barcelona lost to PSG 4-0 at the Parc des Princes in the first leg, but rallied 6-1 in the second-leg game at Camp Nou to eliminate the Ligue 1 powerhouse.

Xavi Hernandez, manager of Barca, was playing under Enrique in the 2014-15 campaign, which was his final season in Barcelona as a player. They won the Champions League title that season.

"I maintain what I said about [Barca DNA] because one defeat or one season is not going to change my mind on that," Enrique said at the press conference. "With respect to Xavi, I said I didn't know him as a coach, but I also said I would like to have had him as a coach – but it's controversy which sells."

Despite their one-goal lead, Xavi sounded discreet at the pre-game press conference on Monday. "Luis Enrique's teams always play attacking football," Barca's manager said. "That will be especially true on Tuesday as they are behind after the first leg. We are two sides that play on the front foot. It will be a massive football battle. Neither team will hold back."
