Yundang Lake in Xiamen City is a shining example of the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. What was, until a few years ago, an eyesore is today a beautiful haven for wildlife. The transformation has been brought about by the efforts of several generations of locals. This is the story of engineer Fu Xunyi, whose technical expertise helped clean the lake's waters; Yang Minmu, who raises environmental awareness through his traditional-style comedy routines; and William N. Brown, an American "Honorary Citizen of Fujian," who is happy to tell the world about the city he calls home. "Harmony of Lake and Sea: Changing Xiamen" premieres on CGTN to mark Earth Day, April 22.
