China's gross domestic product expanded by 5.3% on a yearly basis in the first quarter of 2024, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics. Raymond Yeung, Chief Economist for Greater China at ANZ told CGTN that China's first quarter growth was beyond market expectations, indicating economic conditions have stabilized and consumers' consumption will has increased.
