The China-U.S. economic working group holds its fourth meeting in Washington, D.C., April 16, 2024. /Chinese Ministry of Finance
China expressed its concerns over the economic and trade restrictions imposed by the United States and made further responses on China's production capacity at the fourth meeting of the China-U.S. economic working group in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
The meeting was co-chaired by Chinese Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min and U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Jay Shambaugh.
The two sides conducted "in-depth, candid, pragmatic and constructive" exchanges on the macroeconomic situation of the two countries and globally as well as the balanced growth, China's Ministry of Finance said in a statement on Wednesday.
