Death toll rises to 17 after Russian strike on Chernihiv

Seventeen people were killed after Russian missiles struck Chernihiv in northern Ukraine, said the country's emergency service on Wednesday.

It added that 60 more people including 3 children were injured in the attack which also damaged some civilian buildings.

Russia, which denies targeting civilians, attacked with three Iskander cruise missiles, Chernihiv Governor Vyacheslav Chaus told Ukraine's Suspilne public broadcaster.
