Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday called for more air defense after Ukrainian officials said a Russian missile strike on Chernihiv killed 14 people and injured over 61 others.

Zelenskyy said the death toll may continue to rise, as people are still under the rubble and a rescue operation is underway.

"This would not have happened if Ukraine had received enough air defense equipment and if the world's determination to counter Russian terror was also sufficient," he wrote on social media.

Russia has not yet responded to the attack claims.
