At a regular press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian responded to media questions about production capacity, noting that China has taken note of recent claims by the U.S. and the EU regarding the alleged "overcapacity" in Chinese-made electric vehicles and solar panels, with intentions to take measures.

Overcapacity is a term describing the relationship between supply and demand. It exists when demand is lower than supply.

CGTN talked with some of the foreign exhibitors at the 4th China International Consumer Products Expo held in Hainan City, south China's Hainan Province, to get their thoughts on this matter and their views on the Chinese market and consumer products.
