Forget about traditional catwalks and runway models. The Langyuan Station Cultural Centre in Beijing recently held an unconventional fashion event featuring a range of adorable animals.

From matching outfits to themed ensembles, pet owners spared no effort in ensuring their companions looked their best on the runway.

Wang Di, owner of a seven-month-old black and white poodle wants to spend more quality time with his puppy on weekends. "I hope that participating in events like this will help him socialize better with humans," Wang shared.

And it wasn't just dogs stealing the show. An eight-month-old meerkat named Naiping made quite an impression.

"Coming to this fashion today, I hope to let more people know about meerkats as pets. Our outfit theme for today is black, a timeless, classic color," said Guo Jiamo, owner of Naiping.

The event organizer's vision was to allow pet owners to share their love for their furry companions in a fun and fashionable way. Through every twirl on the runway and every playful paw-step, each furry friend turned heads and melted hearts along the way.
