Watch: Siberian crane migration peaks in NE China's Momoge Wetlands

The Momoge Wetlands, located in Zhenlai County, Jilin Province of NE China, is an important stopover point for migratory birds. Every spring and autumn, large numbers of migratory birds pass through here to rest and feed, with the most eye-catching being the Siberian cranes. Siberian cranes are a nationally protected species in China, and one of the most endangered crane species in the world, with a global population of less than 6,000. Approximately 60% of these birds make stopover at the Momoge Wetland during their annual migrations. This has made Zhenlai County famous as the "Hometown of White Cranes". CMG reporter Han Ziqiao goes into the wetlands and brings live coverage.
