Explosions were heard early on Friday near the Iranian city of Isfahan in an alleged Israeli strike, less than a week after Iran's retaliatory strike against Israel in response to a deadly attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria.
So far, Israel has not officially acknowledged the strikes on Isfahan, while Iran has not publicly accused Israel of carrying them out.
The international community has voiced concern over military escalation in the region. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on parties to "stop the dangerous cycle of retaliation in the Middle East."
