Two police-chartered civilian flights landed at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, bringing back 135 gambling and scam suspects from Cambodia early Sunday morning.

In recent years, Chinese and Cambodian police have intensified their cooperation to combat prominent crimes such as cross-border gambling and telecom scams.

As of now, over 680 Chinese suspects involved in gambling and fraud crimes, who were arrested by Cambodian police, have been brought back to China.

Since the start of this year, China's public security agencies have systematically extradited tens of thousands of suspects implicated in gambling and fraud crimes from countries such as Myanmar, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, achieving remarkable outcomes.

As a result of recent joint operations between Chinese and Cambodian authorities, several people suspected to be involved in gambling and scams have been arrested. Several chartered flights organized by Hubei public security agencies have been used to repatriate these individuals to China since April 12. It has dealt a significant blow to overseas criminal groups that target China.

The Ministry of Public Security has instructed public security agencies in Hubei Province to conduct thorough investigations into these incidents.
