Two people were "neutralized" after they attempted to attack soldiers at a military checkpoint at the Beit Anon intersection near Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israel's GLZ radio reported Sunday.

The report said one person tried to stab Israeli soldiers while the other one had fired shots at them.

Israel Defense Forces earlier confirmed it received a report of shooting at Beit Anon but did not provide details.
