Luoyang, a city in central China's Henan Province, is known for its long-standing peony culture. The city has over 5,000 hectares of planted peonies. It began its annual peony celebration, the Peony Culture Festival, on April 1. Elements of the peony can be found everywhere in the city: traffic lights, street lamps, food and even manhole covers. This year, the city launched peony-themed subway trains to attract more tourists. CGTN's Idah Waringa had a joyful ride there. Click on the video for more.
