As downpour-triggered floods trapped people in parts of south China's Guangdong Province and east China's Jiangxi Province, rescuers had to expedite evacuations, even using helicopters to transfer injured ones and patients. Over 45,000 people have been evacuated from Guangdong's Qingyuan City, where the average rainfall this April has been 444 millimeters, up 2.1 times than the normal level. Floods caused by incessant downpours have also inundated farmlands, seriously affecting people's lives.
