China has urged the Philippines to stop making baseless allegations about the South China Sea. It says other countries' accusations and smears against China are groundless and unacceptable. A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration award is illegal and harms the interests of countries in the region, including the Philippines.
