Food not only brings physical and mental pleasure but is also an expression of culture. China and France are both world-class gastronomy kingdoms. The gastronomy culture allows the two countries to understand each other's cultures and builds a bridge to enhance the friendship between the two sides.

Christophe Marguin, a chef from Lyon, France, visited Shanghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, and many other places and was deeply impressed by Chinese food culture and urban customs. In the spirit of the long friendship between China and France, he specially prepared a special Chinese-French fusion dish. He was pleased to see that on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic ties, some Chinese chefs were invited to France for face-to-face communication. "The French really like Chinese cuisine, and I hope my customers can taste Chinese food too," he said.
