Haiti's transitional presidential council was installed in a ceremony held Thursday morning in the capital Port-au-Prince, local media reported.
Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry then formally submitted his resignation, his office said on Thursday.
Henry's finance minister, Patrick Boisvert, will lead as interim prime minister, according to the nation's official gazette.
