2024 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic ties, and also the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the Normandy coast during World War II.

The third edition of the Franco-Chinese festival "A breeze from China blows over Normandy" came to an end on March 23 in Coutance, France. The festival included exhibitions, calligraphy and a parade. Xia Leperchois, director and founder of the festival, told CGTN about her experiences in establishing the festival and said she is a good example of Franco-Chinese friendship. "Thanks to this festival, the residents of Coutances have been able to discover other aspects of China beyond Chinese food. And the Chinese can also get to know Normandy a little better."
