Siguniang is a Mandarin name that means "Four Sisters," and refers to this mountain's four snow-capped peaks. The tallest of these rises to 6,250 meters and has only been successfully climbed a few times. By contrast, the other three peaks are year-round popular mountaineering destinations. The lowest rises to 5,025 meters and can be hiked without requiring any technical climbing skills.
