In recent days, a siege of grey herons were spotted in Nahan Village of Gulin County, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Some of them leisurely rested on a holly tree, while others flew in the sky.

The grey heron is commonly found in the wetlands of Eurasia and Africa. It is a second-level national protected bird in China.

Village residents say there are more than 30 nests in the holly tree and that about 50 grey herons live in it. They glide across the sky from the early morning, and nestle up with each other at sunset, showing off their graceful form.
