Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said Sunday she would stand for the upcoming European Parliament elections.
"I'm doing it because I want to ask Italians if they are satisfied with the work we are doing in Italy and that we're doing in Europe," Meloni told a party congress in the city of Pescara as she announced her run.
