'China Image' screening launched in Hungary

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary, the "China Image" screening, jointly hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and Hungary's ATV, was launched in Budapest on April 29. A dozen CMG-produced films and TV shows will be broadcast on Hungarian media, revealing the vitality of China in the new era and telling stories of China-Hungary friendship to the local audience.

"China-Hungary relations have always developed at a high level," Shen said. "The joint construction of the Belt and Road have been fruitful, and the cultural exchange, rich and colorful. The two countries set a fine example of the new international relations in cooperating in international and regional affairs. Motion pictures are messengers of cultures, and bridges between hearts. The "China Image" screening is a major event in the bilateral cultural exchange, and is a vivid reflection of the long-lasting Sino-Hungarian friendship. With its masterpieces introduced to the Hungarian audience, CMG looks forward to deepening of the Sino-Hungarian comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, and creating of the 'love dream' based on the bilateral friendship in the new era."

"The fact that Hungary decided to establish diplomatic relations with China proves to be right. The 'China Image' screening is one of the important events in commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The cultural exchange helps the two peoples' friendship develop further," Peter Medgyessy noted.

"The screening event will show the Hungarian people a real, comprehensive, three-dimensional and colorful China," Gong said. "The CMG products will win the hearts of the local audience, and contribute to the friendship between the peoples."

"ATV and CMG have been working together for years. The screening event will unveil the diverse society and brilliant culture of China, with its traditional values and unwavering efforts towards modernization to the viewers. The films will help the two peoples know and understand each other, in the hope of promoting future cooperation." Tamas Kovacs stated.

During the screening event that lasts until early May, "Fine Arts in China," "Above the Plateau" and other CMG products will be broadcast on ATV and other Hungarian new media platforms.
