Spain's Pedro Sanchez on Monday announced that he would stay on as the country's prime minister.
"I have decided to stay," he said in a public address, adding that he had informed King Felipe VI of his decision.
His announcement comes days after the Spanish leader abruptly said he was considering resigning from office, amid a probe into corruption allegations made against his wife.
