China-Bolivia Ties: Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets Bolivian counterpart Celinda Sosa Luna in Beijing

China and Bolivia have agreed to strengthen bilateral ties and multilateral coordination. Foreign Minister Wang Yi met his Bolivian counterpart Celinda Sosa Lunda in Beijing on Sunday. Lunda is on a three-day visit to China.

Wang highlighted the recent progress in bilateral relations which have boosted Bolivia's development and industrialization. He emphasized the need to explore potential cooperation in the digital economy, plateau agriculture, ICT and green development.

He said China is willing to cooperate with Bolivia and other Latin American and Caribbean countries to advance the Belt and Road Initiative, and align it with regional development strategies to build a community with a shared future.

Sosa said Bolivia is ready to celebrate its 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties with China, enhance economic cooperation, and welcome Chinese investment to support industrialization. She said Bolivia firmly supports the one-China principle and China's global initiatives, and promised to develop closer ties with the country.
