At around 2 a.m. today, a part of a highway collapsed on the Meizhou-Dabu Expressway in Meizhou city, heading towards Fujian.
As of 11:45 today, after on-site verification, the accident involved a total of 20 vehicles and 54 individuals, with 24 fatalities and 30 individuals currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital without life-threatening injuries.
