In China, six out of every 100,000 people may suffer from primary malignant brain tumors, with a higher incidence of metastatic tumors or benign tumors. A non-invasive radiotherapy device that reduces treatment and recovery time for patients with brain tumors has recently received official treatment approval in China. Zap-X was invented by an American scientist and introduced at the PLA General Hospital in Beijing in 2019 for clinical trials. CGTN reporter Liu Jiaxin visited the hospital and met with American and Chinese scientists who joined hands to treat and save Chinese patients with brain tumors.
