Confucius is one of the world's most influential philosophers and his ideas continue to influence generations of Chinese, as well as people across the globe. Five years ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping received an introduction to the Analects of Confucius, published in 1688, from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Nice. The original copy now sits in the National Library of China. CGTN reporter Dong Xue has been granted rare access to the book and discovers the story behind it.
