Following in the footsteps of her conservationist father, Altay girl Chu Wenwen has found her vocation: protecting Xinjiang's Sino-Mongolian beavers. But she's determined to do more than pay mere lip service to the cause of these furry friends, which is why she's teamed up with other beaver-lovers determined to lend a helping hand. And it looks like the efforts of this "beaver corps" are paying off, with the wild population of this endangered species increasing by 20 percent within four years.
