China Media Group (CMG) on Monday unveiled the multilingual series "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping" in Paris, France. The show selects words from ancient Chinese works and classics quoted by Xi in his speeches, articles and remarks, showcasing his extensive cultural literacy and his profound commitment to the well-being of the people and the nation.
The release comes as Chinese President Xi Jinping pays a state visit to the country at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The series is being aired on mainstream media outlets in France.

Shen Haixiong, president of CMG, extended an invitation to the French people to explore the rich heritage of Chinese civilization and the unique allure of China in the new era through the series. He also expressed CMG's hope to collaborate with France in contributing wisdom and strength toward promoting building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Laurent Fabius, president of the Constitutional Council and former French prime minister, and Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former French prime minister and the Chairman of the Foundation Prospective & Innovation, delivered congratulatory messages. They believe the programs will allow the French people to appreciate Xi's governance wisdom and gain insights into China's development achievements.
Fabius said that airing "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping" in France will offer a significant opportunity for the French people to gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of China. He emphasized that it will strengthen mutual friendship, promote exchanges between the two countries, and provide insights into addressing global issues.
Raffarin noted that China has made remarkable strides in science and technology innovation and advancing ecological civilization in recent years. He expressed hope for enhanced consensus and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in scientific innovation and sustainable development.
