China and France have issued a joint statement on the situation in the Middle East.

China and France condemn all violations of international humanitarian law, including all acts of terrorist violence and indiscriminate attacks against civilians, according to the statement.

The heads of state of China and France oppose the Israeli operation in Rafah, which will lead to a greater humanitarian disaster, and also oppose the forced displacement of Palestinian civilians, said the statement.

The two heads of state called for the effective opening of all necessary passages and border crossings for the speedy, safe, sustainable and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
