Besides the French payload on China's Chang'e-6 probe, another space collaboration between China and France is highly anticipated. The Space Variable Objects Monitor, or SVOM, is the first astronomical satellite jointly developed by China and France. After assembly and review in Shanghai, it is now ready to be delivered to the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
