A huge crowd gathered in the Serbian capital of Belgrade on Wednesday to greet visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is paying a state visit to the country at the invitation of his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic. The crowd of about 15,000 people assembled in front of the Palace of Serbia, waving the national flags of both China and Serbia, to give a warm welcome to the Chinese president. Xi greeted the well-wishers on the building's balcony alongside Vucic and received thunderous applause and cheers as he waved to the crowd.
