Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday arrived in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrenees Department of France, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The two presidents and their wives watched a local dance performance, tasted the local cuisine and enjoyed the mountain views. This echoed the thousand-year-old tune – "High Mountains and Flowing Water" – that Xi and Macron enjoyed together in Songyuan in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou last year.
