At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to France from May 5 to 7. During his visit, President Xi mentioned the story of the Fujian Naval Academy twice, once in a signed article published in the French media and once during a joint press appearance with President Macron.
