China signed new customs agreements with Iceland and Burundi on May 9, part of broader efforts to boost global trade. The signings took place at the sixth World Customs Organization Global AEO Conference, currently making its debut in south China's Shenzhen from May 8 to 10. It's attracted over 1,200 participants from all over the world. The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a program under the World Customs Organization and an internationally recognized standard to measure the reliability of businesses. China now has 54 partners with AEO status, ranking it first in the world. Since adopting the AEO in 2008, Chinese customs have firmly backed the system and participated in it.
