Chinese electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) makers made their maiden flights in the United Arab Emirates on Monday, eyeing expansion in the burgeoning Middle East market. China's leading air taxi developer, EHang, has completed the first autonomous passenger-carrying demo flight in Abu Dhabi, followed by another Chinese eVTOL maker, AutoFlight, which successfully demoed its larger two-tonne class aircraft the same day.
