Russia is celebrating the 79th anniversary of the 1945 victory over Nazi Germany. At the Red Square in Moscow, President Vladimir Putin addressed the annual Victory Day parade. Nearly 9,000 soldiers took part in this year's ceremony. The parade featured columns of Russian military equipment. It comes two days after Putin was sworn in for a fifth term as Russian president. Victory Day is one of the most important public holidays in Russia.
